For whatever reason, let's not go there, I am focusing on the concept of faith ... or, today, the lack of it.

Faithless

Just imagine the void
Within the empty heart
Of a man without faith
Who sets himself apart

Imagine his darkness
His blind eyes cannot see
The star, shining so bright
Light up the way for me

Imagine salvation
Relief from all his ills
An immortality 
Through faithless sleeping pills

Imagine his despair
As he stands on the edge
The brink of believing
In the Lord's loving pledge
