I am aware of a softening within and put it down to my melting heart! Combine this with my diet and the one square of chocolate I am allowed per day and out pops a poem.

Melted

My heart has melted
Like ice on my tongue
That dissolves in gin
Like dark chocolate
That immortal sin

I resolve I should
Not see you again
And stifling a scream
With closed eyes watch you
Melt into my dream
